April Giveaway !!

I have been busy, busy, busy lately. Lots of projects in the works, lots of plans, and so little time.
I made four paper-pieced sunflowers. Not sure whether they will become a wall hanging or maybe a table runner. Who knows...

Then I decided to make an elongated tumbling block quilt.

Loved working with all the bright colors.

Using the technique I wrote about HERE, I ended up with a bonus of 200 half-square
triangles to play with.

Here is the finished quilt top :)

And finally, here is the
APRIL GIVEAWAY!!!
Twenty-eight beautiful and bright 2 1/2" batik strips.

If you want to get your hands on these and get those creative juices flowing,
leave me a comment and tell me what you've been up to.

I'm going to give all of you plenty of time.
The winner will be chosen at random on
APRIL 28th.
GOOD LUCK!

That quilt top is lovely! Yummy colours.

I pulled out some UFO's and have been embroidering them. I was pleasantly surprised to still feel excited about them.

I've been working on a baby quilt for my friends new baby grandson. Blocks are all made, now I just have to make the sandwich and get it quilted :-)

That's a terrific quilt, and a pattern I've never seen before.

I've been busy with four pieces in my guild's show (one ribbon) and my now six year old's birthday party. So I get to choose what I new project I can start! My list of ideas is long so the contemplation is lots of fun right now.

Hello, Zurn. I like the quilt very much. Me too, I've never seen the pattern before.
Can't stop myself from entering your giveaway again. What I have been up to? My kids where ill with some stupid spring flu one after another. And then the last one got over it the first brought another illness from school. So for the last too months I've been a nurse and a mother :). Almost no sewing :)

Bautiful quilt. Love the colors. Can't seem to get enough color these days. I have been working on my nieces quilt for her wedding gift. I am hand sewing the binding on the back tonight.

I love both of these. Although I think I might have a better chance of making the second. I have been working on a stars quilt with my sisters for my niece's 21st birthday. We are having a great time but I think we need to sew more and talk less or it's never going to get done. 3bakergirlsgo@gmail.com

I've been doing a bit of spring cleaning. Going through old magazines and tearing out the patterns I want and recycling the rest. Tidying up the sewing room. Now on to finishing some of my UFO's.

Beautiful quilt! I recently finished a quilt that I am selling and donating all profits to charity (to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation). I have been collecting fabric for my next quilt in which I will do the same. So very excited to get cutting!

Absolutely love your sunflower block. It's been a long time since I've done any paper piecing. Seeing that block makes me want to try it again. I've been finishing up some hand quilting and hardanger. I had foot surgery last week on my right foot so no machine sewing for me right now. Also spending too much time reading all sorts of wonderful blogs. There is so much creativity out there. Plus I watched all three seasons of Downton Abby. I'm hooked!

Your sunflower block is awesome! I love the way that the multiple greens and gold come together to make it shimmer. Here is Wisconsin we have been shoveling a lot of snow (and it's snowing again today!) but I've found some time to sew some clutch purses using fabric strips. I'm using this cute pattern by Clover and Violet: http://patternpile.com/sewing-patterns/the-bella-clutch-free-pdf-sewing-epattern/ Thanks for the giveaway opportunity and for your wonderful blog!
