April Giveaway !!

I have been busy, busy, busy lately. Lots of projects in the works, lots of plans, and so little time.

I made four paper-pieced sunflowers. Not sure whether they will become a wall hanging or maybe a table runner. Who knows...

Then I decided to make an elongated tumbling block quilt.

Loved working with all the bright colors.

Using the technique I wrote about HERE, I ended up with a bonus of 200 half-square 

triangles to play with.

Here is the finished quilt top :)

January Giveaway !

One of my students told me that whenever she buys batiks, she cuts off a 2 1/2"strip and puts it away - making her own "jelly rolls." Well, I thought that was a great idea, so I set out to work on what I had. For the past week, I have been washing all my batiks and cutting TWO 2 1/2" strips....

one for me and one for one of you :)

After everything was washed, cut, and put away, I set out to organize all the strips into color groups.

This is a set of 26 strips- mostly pastels. The ones that aren't seemed to work nicely in the group.

I'm sure you want to know what hoop you have to jump through in order to get this.

Rainbow Quilt Giveaway !

I purchased this kit about 10 years ago at the Lancaster County Quilt Show. It has been sitting in a stash bin ever since. At this point, I'd rather see someone actually make it than have it sit here any longer.

This kit has never been opened. It is a Rainbow Star Quilt designed by Kathleen Starr. It measures 79" x 99" and the kit includes everything for the top...even the binding :)
