March Giveaway and Spring Fever

I really should be thinking about getting my taxes done, but I'd much rather think about the fact that the first day of spring is 2 1/2 weeks away. So, in order to get my mind off of the inevitable day when I must submit my tax returns, I decided to give away this lovely
Hoffman Spring Medley.

Not only will you receive 6 fat quaters of fabric that will bring thoughts of spring to your stash, but I'm also throwing in a sweet packet of Teavanna's Youthberry & Wild Orange Blossom Blend with German Rock Sugar.
So, sit back with a hot cup of tea and ponder what you will create with these beautiful fabrics.

Now, for a moment, step back two seasons. It's fall. The autumn is noted for its blaze of rich, fiery colors. This quilt, made for a dear friend, was made with fat quarters of Kaffe Fassett's autumn prints in a chevron pattern.

For the back, I chose one of my very favorite Kaffe patterns (if there is such a thing).
I call this quilt "Goodnight, Earth."

So the seasons go...round and round. Now it's time to wake up again.
If you want to wake up to this lovely Hoffman medley, simply leave a comment.
Tell me what you like most about the seasons. Do you have a favorite?

Mr. Random will choose a winner on
Sunday, March 10th.

I love fall, winter and spring! As I get older, I'm not a big fan of summer; when I was a kid, I lived for summer. Hmmm...picking one is so hard to do, but, I guess I have to go with fall, because nature colors are so vivid! :) I'm drooling over that beautiful material and you know I can't sew a lick! LOL!

I have mixed feelings about Spring. It is so short and it gets so hot here in the desert that I kinda wish it would stay cold longer.

I love the change between seasons - all of them. Noticing and appreciating the subtle differences between them, anticipating what's ahead, missing what has past.....

I LOVE the fall chevron quilt - well done.

Well right now, I'm NOT liking winter too much, I wish it was spring....it's just around the corner I'm sure. Your quilt looks amazing.

That is a lovely quilt, Zurn. My favourite Kaffe fabric design, as well! These days I love all the seasons, although by the end of winter I long for spring and there is something special about those first warmer days. Especially here in Holland, where such days are fairly rare and rain much more frequent. We are having a rare one today, in fact! The girls were able to take off their winter coats, it feels lovely.

My favorite seasons are Fall and Spring. I like Fall because the weather turns cooler and you get to wear cute scarves and sweaters. I like Spring for the same reasons but that it is warmer and you can start to wear dresses and sandals.

I love the chevron quilt! Beautiful rich colors and texture! It seems my favorite season is the one I'm experiencing, or just on the cusp of, though as I grow older I'm more partial to spring and fall. Perhaps I like autumn best of all for the clear crisp days filled with the sweet earthy smell of dried leaves. Though my color palette leans toward summer!
